My Dearest (Great) Uncle John, I will forever cherish so many happy memories of you from the times you and Auntie Barb took us away on caravan holidays, Christmas’s at your house in Foresters trying to catch mum on your camcorder, coming to see you every week after school and then later when I got older coming to visit you and Auntie Barb and spending hours chatting about the ‘good old days’ listening to stories of your younger days and of your time in the Fire Brigade right up until the party we had at my house last year for your 80th & Auntie Barb’s 70th Birthdays. It was such a lovely day and I hope you enjoyed it :)
Seeing you in your final few months was very difficult but I know you are up there in the arms of all our loved ones who we miss so dearly.
You were such a brilliant, intelligent, giant of a man and your big booming voice and laugh will be sorely missed xx
